Do I hook up the yellow wire to the ignition wire or striaght to the batterywith the red one?
And my next question is. If so which wires are the ignition wires in an 88 Chevy Silverado 1500 fullsize pickup can any one answer that?
If you wire the red and yellow to the battery wire, the radio won't turn off when the key is removed. The factory wire color is yellow for ignition and orange for battery.
Aftermarket radios usually use the yellow wire for the battery connection, and the red for ignition.
