1997 Honda Civic DX - PS Bracket Bolts?
I bought a car that had the power steering unit removed and am trying to put everything back together. I bought the new Power Steering mounting bracket, but no bolts. I need to know the bolt sizes that go to the Power Steering Bracket. Can anyone help?
Well hopefully this information will lead you in the right direction. From the sound of it, the best option would be to take a quick trip to your local Honda dealer and buy the bolts needed to finish mounting the new p/s bracket.
The bolts are not that expensive, and I can tell you that one of them should be a speciality bolt that can help adjust how the p/s pump sits so the p/s belt can have the right amount of tension.
The part numbers are the same for all 97 Civic DX models. The 2-door, 3-door and, 4-door models. The part numbers are ( including quantity needed) along with list price:
(2) 95701-10040-08 BOLT, FLANGE (10X40) $0.98 each
(2) 90004-P30-000 BOLT, SPECIAL (8MM) $3.58 each
(1) 95701-10055-08 BOLT, FLANGE (10X55) $1.13
